Hi, Nathan here. I'm showing off my first mod, called The Simpsons Hit & Run: Frank Grimes Mode. Why is it called Frank Grimes Mode? Well, consider the original game 'Homer Simpson Mode', with Frank Grimes Mode being considerably more difficult and not particularly rewarding, much like the life of Frank Grimes.
The main campaign and bonus missions have had their difficulty increased. These alterations can include:
- Reduced time limits.
- New objectives.
- New conditions.
- Increase in AI difficulty.
- Forced car missions.
- A few other twists.
Note: this mod requires the 1.20 or newer update of Lucas Simpsons Hit & Run Mod Launcher.1.4.0 (Feb 8th 2019)
- Level 7 released.
- Apu now restarts on foot in L5M2.
- New objective added to L5M2.
- Bug in L5M4 fixed where the mission wouldn't fail when the timer ran out.
- Display issue for speedometer in L6B1 fixed.
- Level 6 released.
- Dialogue added to Mr Burns in L4M2 in the event of failing the race condition.
- The Canyonero's smoke joint had mistakenly been used as a spawn point for a passenger in L4M4, this has been rectified.
- New conditions added to L5M5.
- Cursor updated.
- Time limits adjusted.
- Principal Skinner and Smithers have head starts in L1M1 and L1M7 respectively.
- Bug in L2M5 fixed where it would crash as the race started.
- The fountain monkey's trigger now matches its location in L2M6.
- Final objective in L2B1 restored.
- Dialogue in L3M6 moved around.
- Bug in L3B1 fixed where the player would automatically win the lose tail objective.
- The elderly from L4M4 now appear in the car as you collect them.
- New dialogue added to L4M4.
- Out of vehicle condition added to L4M7 in the event of having the player's vehicle destroyed at the same time as the Cola Truck.
- Level 5 released.
- Superintendent Chalmers now drives Chalmers' Honda, with dialogue.
- In-game font updated.
- In-game pause menu updated.
- Radioactive barrel in L3M2 replaced with a cup of volatile, Super-Squishee.
- Mod's Icon updated.
- HUD system updated.
- Open Wheel Racing Cars in L4M2 have been replaced with Gil in an Electaurus, scavenging items off of Cletus' pickup truck.
- The monkey above the fountain in L2M6 is now centered.
- Level 4 released.
- Bug in L3M4 fixed where the mission wouldn't finish.
- New objective added to L3M5.
- The Surveillance Van from L1M7's spawn point has been moved to just outside the plant due to multiple collisions with the fence.
- L1M7 bug fixed where Mr. Smithers drove backwards, as if the door to the plant wasn't closed.
- Several dialogue clips have been added to missions.
- Some missions have had their time limits reduced for higher difficulty.
- Rod Flanders' inhaler from L1M2 has been moved from the top of the duff truck to the Kwik-E-Mart rooftop.
- L2M1, L3M2, L3M7, and L3B1 have new objectives.
- Chalmers' Honda is now a playable vehicle.

The Simpsons: Hit & Run Overview
The Simpsons: Hit & Run is an action-adventure video game based on the American animated sitcom, The Simpsons. Hit & Run has seven levels, each with missions and sub-plot. The player can control one specific character in each level. The game’s playable characters are Homer, Bart, Lisa, Marge, and Apu. Homer and Bart are played twice. When travelling on foot, the player character can walk, run, and perform three types of melee attacks: a normal kick, a jumping kick, and a smashing move. To drive, the player can either commandeer one of the many civilian vehicles that drive endlessly around town, or use a phone booth to select a car. The game’s driving missions are also similar to those of Grand Theft Auto III. In both games, the player races against other characters, collects items before a timer runs out, and wrecks other cars.
How to Download & Install The Simpsons: Hit & Run
- Click the Download button or the logo below and you should be redirected to MEGA.
- Click Download through your web browser or Download with MEGASyncto start your download. (For web browser downloading, you should use chrome and have the MEGA extension installed, which you can get here).
- Once The Simpsons: Hit & Run is done downloading, right click the .zip file and click on “Extract to The Simpsons: Hit & Run.zip” (To do this you must have WinRAR, which you can get here).
- Double click inside the The Simpsons: Hit & Run folder and run the Simpsons application.
- Have fun and play! Make sure to run the game as administrator windows XP SP3 mode to fix slow performance and stuck loading screen that you might get on certain missions.
To FIX slow performance, and stuck loading screen issues do this..
- Right click Simpsons.exe.
- Go to compatibility tab.
- Check “Run in Windows XP SP3 (you can play around with this if needed, this one works for me so far)
- Check “Run this program as administrator”, apply and ok.
